When KORUZA optical system development has reached the 5th Prototype, it was put on a worldwide test. 10 links have been deployed in order to observe their performance over a 12-month period.

This time, the system in OpenSCAD framework has been redesigned completely. This has prepared the system for collaborative open-source development.

In the beginning of 2014, the 3rd generation of Koruza, a working outdoor prototype for long-term testing has been developed.

NLnet Foundation saw the potential of the project, too, and granted Institute IRNAS Rače a Grant for development of Koruza.

By February 2014, Institute IRNAS Rače was founded by Luka Mustafa.

By the end of 2013, Luka Mustafa received the 2nd prize for VALET at 2013 IEEE Com Soc Student Competition.

In fall 2013, the second generation prototype was ready. It was the first functional construction built with 3D printing.
